Inktober 8

Today's sketch is of a clocktower--specifically the Clocktower from my 2011/2013 NaNoWriMo novel Minyrva.

". . . So lieu of sun, moon, or stars, the Clocktower counted. Every hour it tolled, telling all in the city the hour. But every twelve hours–at six–the Cadence sounded out throughout the City."

  1. Ohhey! It's pretty. In regards to it having to be round because of the spiral staircase, I forgot to mention that the monument at Bunker Hill is an obelisk with a spiral staircase inside. =)

    1. -_- its not that it must be round in order to contain a spiral staircase. It's simply that it IS round. The staircase follows the interior wall. Also, I think I messed up, because the surface should be made of copper, and not cobblestone. It's very echoey in there.

    2. Alright, alright. It can simply be round. =) The slightly bendy shape might be a good idea to do to my clocktower because it slants too much and I can't make it straight...

  2. Nice! Heyy, you should draw some illustrations for Minyrva. *nods*

    1. I've tried. There's actually a cover illustration in one of my oldest sketchbooks, that . . . has issues. Also I can never get the CKs right.
